You Are What You Eat! It’s True
It’s true folks, you are what you eat. I did my own little experiment recently and this is what I discovered. Normally, I’m the type of guy who enjoys his sweets. I like chocolate, chips, and soda. I mean every once in a while I’d bite into a vegetable, but my diet definitely lacked in any decent nutritional value.
I decided one day that I was going to change some of my bad habits. I was going to eat more fruits, vegetables, and lean meats. I was going to completely lay off any foods that would not give my body any value back in return.
I traded my chips for cucumbers, my soda for water, my chocolate for broccoli. I was eating a lot of oranges, apples, greens, salads, bananas, and steaks. One of my favorite snacks is a homemade smoothie that consists of blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, bananas, orange juice, and yogurt. It is delicious, you should try it out for yourself.
Within a few hours, I noticed a change. Not so much with my appearance, but with my attitude and mind. I felt more alert, and my thought process seemed sharper. So far, so good. I wasn’t expecting results that quickly, but I’m not complaining. When most people follow a diet, they are usually doing it for physical reasons, not even thinking that a good nutritional diet can do wonders for your mentality.
After a week of doing this, I felt like a completely different person. I have way more energy than I use to. I was even starting to see a difference in my personal appearance. My skin looked more vibrant and healthy. It even felt healthy. Changing my diet boosted my confidence. It actually changes the way I see things and makes me a positive person.
It gives you so much extra energy that you want to get up and do things just to burn it off. During this whole period, I did not exercise in any way beyond normal lifestyle movements. Only adjusting my diet for the better gave me these incredible results. Just imagine what exercising on top of eating healthy can do for a person.
I admit, I do occasionally consume junk food, but it’s the opposite now. Instead of adding healthy foods to my junk food diet. I add the occasional junk food to my healthy diet. Doing it this way still makes me feel good.
If you feed the body the fuel that it craves and desires. The nutrition that it’s programmed to operate at maximum performance, then you will see significant changes in your body and mind. I guarantee it.
